For over 4 years, meth was my daily devotion — the altar I kept returning to while my structure, my relationships, and my sense of self quietly collapsed. I wasn’t weak. I was lost, pouring enormous energy into the wrong container.
The turn didn’t come from willpower alone- I needed somewhere to land… the body. I had to relearn, slowly and painfully, that the only way out of an untethered mind is back in— into breath, weight, sensation, and mindful presence.
Rebuilding myself through movement taught me things no certification or coursework ever could: how compensation patterns can carry grief, how a braced spine can hold an old story, how genuine structural change feels different from the inside than it looks from the outside.
That’s not a disclaimer — that’s the credential. Every cue I give, every micro-adjustment, every moment I notice what your body is actually doing versus what you think it’s doing — that comes from someone who has had to rebuild from zero and knows exactly what it costs, and what it returns.
